MODULE 4: PERSONAL AND BUSINESS ETHICS

 

   

In the past business ethics has been the domain of philosophers and academics. Today it is essential that business ethics should be geared towards the practical needs of leaders and managers in organisations. What are conspicuously missing are the practical tools to put the ethical goals and theories into action.

The benefits of business ethics are numerous: business ethics programmes:

  3. are an insurance policy – they help to ensure that policies meet legal requirements
  4. help manage values associated with strategic planning, diversity management and quality control

COURSE CONTENTS
 
  1. Increasing employees' awareness of the principles of business ethics
  2. Indicating the relationship between visions, mission and core values
  3. Determining the compatibility of employees' values with their company's values
  4. Ensuring that the core values become operational
  5. Equipping employees with the necessary tools (skills) to make decisions and to deal with dilemmas in terms of their company's core values
  6. Providing a moral compass for turbulent times when the company is faced with drastic changes
  7. Enhancing the standard of conduct of all employees towards each other, the company and their clients
