MODULE 3: STRESS MANAGEMENT

 

   

Stress and productivity are closely related. High levels of stress lead to a decrease in productivity and poor quality of life. South Africa's yearly loss, as the result of stress, amounts to millions of Rand in terms of medical costs, absenteeism, accidents and poor productivity. Negative stress also results in poor motivation and decreased exuberance. Approximately 75% of all illnesses can be regarded as psychosomatic and can be directly or indirectly related to excessive stress. Research indicated that more than a third of South Africans experienced excessive stress. During the past 10 years there has been a significant increase of 36% in the stress level of South Africans.

By managing your stress constructively one can ensure emotional stability; enhanced quality of life; focused energy; increased drive; radiant health and improved productivity.

  4. The link between assertiveness, conflict management and stress
  5. Implementing the principles of time management
  6. Development of an inner locus of control
  7. Emotional support network
  8. Improvement of self-esteem
  9. The principles of rational and positive thinking
  10. Modifying type A-behaviour
  11. Relaxation techniques

Course Direction

This course is presented over two days.

Number of Delegates

A minimum of six and maximum of ten delegates per training session is recommended. This course is presented on an in-house basis.
